Timeline of Elizabethan Foreign Affairs 1559-1594
This is a timeline of Elizabeth I's foreign affairs spanning from 1559-1594. The includes information about increased tensions with Spain, including the Spanish Armada and the Counter Armada. There is a date, an explanation, and an analysis of whether each event either helped or hindered Elizabeth's foreign policy aims. These aims were: to secure her borders from foreign threats of invasion; to secure a stable position in Europe; to secure her religious settlement on the international state. This document deals with both political and religious threats to Elizabeth. From this revision, I got an A* on the AQA History A Level exam.
Features of Elizabethan Foreign Policy 1560-72
This document lists all of the main features of Elizabeth\'s foreign policy between 1560-72. It explains the events relating to France, the Netherlands, Scotland, and the New World, with evidence and some statistics to support the arguments made. There are explanations and analyses of the results of Elizabeth\'s foreign policies, looking at whether her actions were consistent with her aims in Europe, with mentions of some historians\' arguments. Points made could be useful when comparing her foreign policy to some of the other Tudor monarchs (not included in this document).
Elizabethan Golden Age Presentation
A presentation exploring the changes in the arts, literature, and music over the Tudor period. There are slides making a judgement on the question of whether the Elizabethan era was a true golden age for the arts or whether it is the same as the previous Tudor monarchs. Mentioned and analysed are specific paintings, pieces of music, and works of literature so that there is specific evidence for these claims in terms of essay writing. This is for the AQA History 7042, 1C, The Tudors: England 1485-1603. From this work, I got an A* grade on the exam.
