De BADS bestaat uit zes subtests: Regel-Wissel, Actie-Plan, Sleutel-Zoek, Temporele schatting, Dierentuin-Plattegrond en Vereenvoudigde Zes-Elementen. Daarnaast bevat de test een DEX-vragenlijst met 20 items. De items hebben betrekking op vier gebieden die bij patiënten met een planning- en evaluatiestoornis vaak problemen opleveren: Emotionele- of persoonlijkheidsveranderingen, Motivationele veranderingen, Gedragsveranderingen en Cognitieve veranderingen, Verschillen in prestatie op BADS-NL-subtests tussen de vier leeftijdsgroepen.
• Meetpretentie: Meet aanwezigheid en ernst van dagelijkse plannings- en organisatieproblemen voortkomend uit het Dysexecutive Syndrome • Doelgroep 16 t/m 87 jaar • Afname 45-60minuten • 6 verschillende subtesten • Normen in leeftijdsgroepen. • COTAN: Normen zijn oud en niet representatief. Betrouwbaarheid, begripsvaliditeit en Criteriumvaliditeit zijn niet onderzocht. Bleken later matig te zijn. • Sterk punt: Minder gestructureerde test is goed voor EF meten. • Zwak punt: Matig onderscheidend vermogen.

• Meetpretentie: Executief functioneren als in werkgeheugen en inhibitie. • Taak 1: (COWAT) woorden met 1 letter. Taak 2: (GIT) woorden uit 1 categorie (zoals dieren) • Letterfluency (COWAT) meer EF, Catergoriefluency (GIT) meer semantisch geheugen. • Doelgroep 16-90 jaar • COTAN Word Fluency: alleen Criteriumvaliditeit = NVT. • Wordfluency is goede test voor stoornissen in semantisch geheugen. • COWAT COTAN was er niet dus zelfbeoordeling: Normen onvoldoende omdat klein en niet representatief. Begripsvaliditeit ook onvoldoende want weinig overeenkomst met soortgelijke tests. Bij COTAN GIT wel goede normen! Alleen slechte handleiding. • Sterk punt: Geeft aanwijzingen voor veel verschillende stoornissen! • Zwak punt: Niet altijd goed te differentieren tussen verschillende stoornissen.

• Meetpretentie: Test om continue selectieve aandacht te meten (concentratie) • Doelgroep: 6-17 jaar (voornamelijk basisschoolleeftijd) • Voorwaarden: - Geen stoornissen in visus - Geen motorische stoornissen die responsies belemmeren • Stippen tekenen. • Scoring = ingewikkeled. Op regeltijden en fouten en Patroon tekenen voor trend • Normen in SD's. Kleine SD is weinig aandachtschomelingen en grote SD kan duiden op aandachtsfluctuaties. • COTAN: Alleen normen onvoldoende want zijn oud.
